An emissary of The Creeping Nave, an entity named Krixis, arrived from Q’barra today bearing news on several fronts—and a request. Her visage is a striking, horrific marvel of taxonomy: an anthropomorphic form crowned by a glistening, multi-faceted insectoid head, its mandibles clicking out a dialect that defies standard linguistics. She exists in a state of flux, shifting effortlessly into the Border Ethereal like a ghost fading through glass.
The best news she brought is this: an adventuring party heads toward Durnn’s encampment. They were spotted passing through the fountain room. With any luck, they will be converted into Children of Avaash by tomorrow’s end. A khoravar warlock travels with them, which causes me minor concern; she managed to glimpse my aberrant visitor despite her planar shift. However, the girl is young and likely easily manipulated. Also of note, a warforged accompanies the group, wielding an ancient green dragon scale as a shield. It makes me wonder…

First and foremost, the seal in Threshold is now fully uncovered, and plans are in motion to undo its multi-faceted arcane locks. It is now a race to see which of the Great Ones will be released first: Orlaask or Avaash. If I can convince this oncoming party to join my side, it will surely be Avaash!
In Q’barra—from whence this emissary hails—their sect has located the ziggurat. The Sharnian noble meant for sacrifice is currently en’route to the shrine at its peak. However, the operation has reached a standstill due to persistent reptilian, demonic, and demonic reptilian incursions. Krixis’ primary purpose was not to deliver a mere status update, but rather to request aid from the Children of Avaash to clear the shrine and surrounding valley of these fiendish threats before completing the sacrificial ritual they believe will crack the seal that holds Valaara at bay. If I succeed in turning this approaching crew into thralls, I shall likely dispatch them to Q’barra to serve that very purpose.
